Listening to God

Early on in Revelation we find John in the Spirit. John is praying or meditating, listening for God to give him direction. This is one of the first lessons from Revelation. We should all take time to just listen for what God has to say to us. I know that I spend more time talking to God asking for something or thanking God for something or praising God than I do listening for his word. It takes practice to be a good listener.
